Only 4 days remaining! There is still time to catch the Creative Expressions Art Exhibit at Rio Tomatlan in Canandaigua!
The current exhibit boasts 80 pieces of artwork from over 40 talented OARC artists – and much of the art is available for sale (a great gift idea for the Holidays!). We had a wonderful turnout for the Opening Reception for the evening of November 8th – and so far we have sold 17 pieces made by 13 artists. Congratulations artists!! Pricing for artwork takes into account the cost of supplies used to create the art as well as framing costs incurred while readying the work for professional display. A portion of the artwork tag price represents incurred expenses. This amount is refunded back to Ontario ARC’s Creative Expressions program with the remaining proceeds going directly to the artist.
Rio Tomatlan is located at 106 Bemis Street, just a block away from Main Street in downtown Canandaigua. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday Dec. 4th which is the last day to view the artwork. Grab friends and family, catch a delicious meal and admire the incredible talents and abilities of the artists of OARC (and maybe even get some of your Christmas Shopping list checked off while you are at it!).
For questions about the exhibit or purchasing artwork, please contact Christin Lersch at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (585) 919-2056.
“What a wonderful community event!”
“I felt like I was like looking at a Memorial Art Gallery show!”
“I really like how each artwork is paired with a photo and bio of the artist. It was nice to read about the artists and then meet them there at the show. I really connected with (1) piece that I purchased and thought about what it would mean to the artist to have their work purchased.”
“Unique work, different from other art shows- Fresh!”
“Last night my wife and I went to an art show at Rio Tomatian. The show blew our minds. Absolutely a show to see. It was a show put together by an amazing young lady, Christin Lersch. She works with [people with disabilities] at Ontario ARC. She has encouraged absolutely the most beautiful pieces of artwork from her students. My wife and I are a proud owner of one of these pieces and had the fortunate experience of meeting the artist. It is called Creative Expressions and is open when the restaurant is. Rio Tomatlan deserves a big thanks for hosting this event. If you want to own a piece of wonderful artwork get down there they were going fast [at the opening reception].”
“Wonderful Show at the Rio in Canandaigua through December 4th honoring the Ontario ARC people and their creative choices. Art is such a wonderful way to communicate when words don’t cut it. Kudos to Rio for honoring community in such a touching and real way.”
