The Autism Center at Ontario ARC and Victor Parks and Recreation have teamed up to bring “FREE WHEEL’N” to Victor, NY on July 22, 2017. This free event provides all children with an opportunity to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels.
FREE WHEEL’N will be held at Dryer Road Park, 7405 Dryer Road in Victor, NY on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 11:30AM -1PM. In order to participate in the event, attendees are asked to bring a bike without training wheels, helmet, sunscreen, and sneakers (no flip flops/sandals/crocks). All above items are required, and a parent or guardian must be present to participate.
“We are excited to partner with Victor Parks and Recreation to offer an opportunity for children to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels,” says Diane Van Derwater, Autism and Wellness Manager at Ontario ARC. “The ability to ride a two-wheel bike is an important step in gaining self-confidence, and for children with a disability the milestone can be an even greater achievement.”
Space is limited for the event and registration is required to attend. Volunteers are also needed for the event. To register or to learn more about volunteering at FREE WHEEL’N, please contact Diane Van Derwater at (585) 919-2148.Download Free Wheel'n Flyer
