NYSARC chapters statewide are bringing attention to critical issues affecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and the providers and staff dedicated to serving them. A statewide grassroots advocacy campaign, “It Matters to Me” was organized by NYSARC, Inc. to highlight the issues that matter most to families and providers. One major component of the campaign advocates for fair wages for Direct Support Professionals.
Ontario ARC joins the cause with this new video showcasing the important role Direct Support Professionals play in the daily lives of the people they support.
