Spot On Cleaning Company: Social Enterprise is Good Business

Spot On Cleaning Company has been providing commercial and governmental buildings in Ontario County with professional cleaning services and mobile janitorial crews for nearly four decades. Today, the company brings ongoing facilities expertise to more than 16 commercial locations throughout Ontario County and creates opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve independence through meaningful employment.

Founded in March of 1978, Spot On established its professional cleaning business with a contract to maintain the NYSEG offices in Geneva, and they have been offering superior services ever since. Spot On currently serves a range of business environments such as large administrative offices and high-traffic workplaces like the DMV as well as county governmental offices, colleges, aging care facilities, and medical facilities. The company also does exceptional short-term project work such as cleaning and sealing for hard floors or intensive carpet extractions for high-traffic areas and post-construction clean-up.

“From management throughout the entire staff, they are a courteous and professional group that makes maintaining our building easy,” says client Mike Davis of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

A division of Ontario ARC, Spot On Cleaning Company employs a dedicated workforce that includes people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Every crew member participates in a comprehensive training program guided by experienced supervisors so that fundamental techniques and efficiencies are implemented by each Spot On team member from day one.

Spot On delivers reliable, consistent and quality work that routinely exceeds customer expectations. Each maintenance contract has a custom engineered plan to control building “hot spots” where a lot of wear and tear occurs and also provide maximum productivity. Spot On is able to provide excellent service at reasonable rates because of years of experience.

“Over the years we’ve seen fly-by-night providers in our area that offer rock-bottom prices to attract business but deliver poor quality work – over promise and under deliver, you could say. We price our services reasonably upfront and our customers appreciate the consistency and cooperation of our entire team to make them look great,” said John Rasmussen, Spot On Operations Manager.

By using quality, name-brand cleaning products, Spot On ensures facilities are clean without chemical overuse. Spot On also adheres to environmentally preferred practices and can work with clients to develop operations and maintenance plans that comply with LEED certification for existing buildings and new construction.

As a proud NYSID Preferred Source Program participant, state and local governments can simplify procurement and comply with New York State finance laws (article 11, section 162) mandating that goods and services be provided by people and veterans with disabilities where possible.
