From event sponsorship to volunteering, The Arc Ontario needs community support to continue creating innovative services that improve the quality of life for people with disabilities or other challenges. When you give your time or treasure, you are helping to build an inclusive community for everyone to feel welcomed and supported.

The Arc Ontario strives to reach as many people as possible via electronic/paper communications to keep people informed and educate people about The Arc Ontario and the opportunities to support us.

Fall

Get ready to Feel the Burn Before the Bird at the Canandaigua Turkey Trot! This annual event is held on Thanksgiving morning and continues to grow in popularity as family and friends come together to participate in the 5K fun run & walk. Children under 12 race for free making this a great family activity and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!


Winter

Get into the holiday spirit and have your business logo or name prominently displayed at our Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth. Located at Eastview Mall at two highly visible locations in the Main Court and near Macy’s for nearly 30 days. The booth at the Main Court runs from Black Friday until Christmas Eve. A second booth opens in front of Macy’s mid-December and also runs until Christmas Eve. Over 400 volunteers give the gift of their time to wrap approximately 5,000 gifts for mall shoppers.


Spring

The Arc Ontario’s Wine Mixer will be held at The Cracker Factory, a unique, industrial, event space on Lehigh Street in Geneva. This event offers a wonderful evening where guests will enjoy live music, complimentary wines, impeccable food, as well as exciting live and silent auctions. Please join us as we raise a glass and funds for The Friends of The Arc Ontario Foundation.


1954 Society

The 1954 Society honors the dedication of The Arc Ontario’s founders who established the agency in 1954 and supports our rich traditions, mission, and vision. Become a member by committing to an annual $1,954 contribution for the next three years and you will be recognized at our major fundraisers, receive agency publications and notifications of all annual events, and your name will appear on our 1954 Society donor recognition wall located in our main facility.

Honorarium

Honor or remember someone special in your life by purchasing an image created by individuals who participate in The Arc Ontario’s Creative Expressions program. With four artwork options available in three different sizes, they will be mounted on acrylic and displayed on the walls of The Arc Ontario’s Main Facility. Your purchase will support The Arc Ontario’s growing menu of innovative programs and services for people with disabilities or other challenges. For that special person in your life, it is a wonderful way to honor or remember them.

Corporate Support

Please check with your employer’s Human Resources department if your company is interested in making a donation. The Matching Gifts program is a great option as it increases donation amounts and your impact on our vital services.

Lifetime Membership

Lifetime Membership is a great honor that recognizes and celebrates the outstanding contributions of members who have donated financially and given their time and service to The Arc Ontario.  Lifetime Membership is reserved for those whose contribution goes beyond the ordinary for an extended period of time. This honor exists to recognize the valuable contribution of individuals to the current and future wellbeing of The Arc Ontario.

A lifetime member shall receive a waiver of annual membership dues but will continue to have full voting rights.  The Lifetime Member’s name will be displayed on The Arc Ontario website.

The Friends of The Arc Ontario Foundation was incorporated in 2013 to raise funds for support of our innovative and ever-expanding services for people with disabilities or other challenges.

What we do:

  • Raise funds to supplement decreasing support from Medicaid (government organization who primarily funds programs and services for people with disabilities or other challenges)

  • Ensures The Arc Ontario’s financial future and that the individuals who we support will continue to lead fulfilling lives for generations to come

  • Builds upon strong support from the community
