Home & Community Support Services

Personal Hygiene

It’s important to know how to best take care of yourself and your body before going out into the community. We’ll work with you to learn best practices for personal hygiene and develop a routine for you to get ready for school, work, or for the days you’re simply stepping out to run errands.

Self-Care

Our staff will help you to develop self-care practices that prepare you for various social settings. Whether it’s learning tips for dining etiquette, appropriately dressing for the weather, or having a socially acceptable appearance, we’re here to help you!

Household Chores

Daily tasks such as planning meals, grocery shopping, maintaining a clean living space, and laundry are important to keep your life on track. We’ll help you get started and teach you the best ways to keep up with your everyday chores.

Transportation Training

Public transportation gets us to and from work, school, and helps us to maneuver within our community. Our staff will teach you how to access and use various public transportation methods.

Independence in Personal Health Care

It’s important to be able to advocate for yourself and your well-being at medical and dental appointments. We’ll teach you how to ask the right questions for clarity and understand what your medical professionals are telling you.

Personal Financial Management

Being able to manage your money helps you to make the right decisions when budgeting, going to the bank or purchasing items. We work with you to help you develop great financial management skills.

Social Behavior

When interacting with others at home or in the community, it’s important to understand what is socially appropriate. Our staff will teach you how to best interact with friends, family, and other community members.

Fire Evacuation

Emergencies happen and when they do, you must know how to keep yourself and others safe. By learning fire evacuation standards, you’ll help yourself and others to remain safe during dangerous or possibly life-threatening situations.

Hands-on assistance

Our team also offers direct assistance for individuals with physical dependency needs!
